Hi all, recently in touch by Spotify recruiter for a Sec Engineer position for remote EU and was told that range was 60-80 out of base salary and equity. Had 2 years of security experience out of my 4 years. Was also told that there is no bonus scheme or no sign in bonus 😕 Not sure how I feel about this tbh.

Hey folks
I got a call from TCS to interview for a new unit formed within org with the name of Business Transformation Group as per new org restructuring. Anyone from TCS who can help to understand more about this?
Does it cater to only niche technologies or how does this actually function?

Hey guys, Since I am working in Deloitte and right now, I am working from home. I want to go Nepal for 2 months and I want to work from there. Do I need to tell my manager or simply I can go there and start my work. Is there any obligation?
Note- I don't want to tell anyone. Since it may backfire sometimes

Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?

give it at least 2 years, because what if you end up not liking the other firm? are you going to jump ship again? dont fall into a trap because you have FOMO. before you know it, you start creating a narrative on your resume that says you cannot commit to an organization. that sends red flags to recruiters and hiring managers. I would have raised eyebrows if I come across a resume with 2-3 major firms with less than 4 years work experience. also have to think about it if you are looking to get your mba at a top school...it will be red flags for them as well. unless you have certainty that if you jump you will stick around at least 2-3 years, I would advise staying another year.
Though BBM was Big Beautiful Men. Fuck these acronyms are getting confusing.
1year seems to be pretty common
Why do you want to change so early?
Thanks for the advice SM 1 excellent perspective. SC 1 this is a referral for a BBM analyst program from a partner at a BBM firm (I am no networking guru I just got very very lucky), I am from a Big 4 Advisory role. I would entertain a change due to the brand name, formal MBA sponsorship program, and alumni connections from BBM. I am also interested in moving somewhere where the core competency is management consulting as opposed to in big 4 where the core competency at my firm is primarily Audit. That being said having a great experience so far at my firm so like SM 1 suggested, I do want to be weary of jumping ship due to FOMO.
Lol what's BBM?
Bain, McKinsey, Boston Consulting Group
Ohhh I always thought of it as MBB. If say go for it! That's an understandable jump
If the length of yiur tenure is short at your first job...then the length of tenure at your second job will have to be long. If not you will get labeled as someone who jumps around. That being said...id make the jump
What you listed was BMB. Whats BBM?
OP, if it's MBB it actually might be worth the risk to jump. again, make sure you plan on sticking around for a number of years, ideally 3 or more years. even if it sucks, just power through it to get tenure under your belt. and leave your current firm in gracefully, the consulting world is really small. good luck on your decisions, good problems to have. ☺
Do it with that opportunity !!
Thanks for all the advice and input everyone! I have decided to take the partner up on his referral and have a call with him on Monday to get the ball rolling. I'll post in here periodically with updates on how the process goes.
