As we wind down for this weekend and enter the workweek, what are some things you did this weekend that was productive? I’ll go first! I cleaned up my house and started to read some new books/novels that I meant to start a few weeks ago.

Took a deep dive into Power BI courses from LinkedIn. Feel exhausted.

Found it really interesting and a great tool to deal with data analytics

I had a busy weekend, logging up at our family cabin. We had to cut down a massive tree that was leaning in a dangerous way, and we had to chop it all up and get it set up for winter-use. My body is tired today and I'm not ready to head into the warehouse tomorrow, that's for sure!

Wow! I bet that was very tiring! Thank you for sharing!

I got caught up on a few gardening chores I've been putting off. Mostly a lot of pruning, now that the birds are no longer nesting in the hedges. I also did repair jobs on two garden hoses, which tells you how exciting my life is. I could just buy new hoses, but I feel dumb doing that if I can just pop new connectors on them. I come from a family where we fixed things, what can I say?

Oh that reminds me, our neighbor (we live in condos) removed our hose and now it’s missing!

OP I did the same thing. I cleaned up around my house, did all of the laundry and all of the dishes. And on top of all of that I also meal prepped for the week so I cooked too. I felt like it was a really productive weekend for me but it went by too fast.

That’s like the best weekend ever! I’m about to start doing some last minute chores now actually.

Situation: got an offer from firm X; highly likely to get a better offer from firm Y but official offer would take a couple of more weeks in best case scenario. However, firm X’s offer validity about to run out. Would you: (1) accept X’s offer now but rescind later if Y converts (2) ask X for additional time to decide (they’re “prestigious” and may not offer additional time...) (3) Play straight, decline X and hope Y converts (4) any other creative ideas ...???

I am a mid level and have received an offer from a regional big law firm in a non-market paying location. I believe the firm would be a great fit and the location is where I want to be. The biggest issue is money. I’d be lateraling from full cravath in a major market and the initial offer I received is a bit off that (read: 50% salary reduction). While the market is cheaper in some respects, housing is not. How far can I expect this firm to go to in terms of compensation? Any negotiation tips?

Hi,
CCTC including all benefits is 16.57 with 8.3 YOE, primarily focused on Manual Testing.
Is it worth looking for another opportunity?
I am afraid after seeing layoffs news of EPAM, Publicis Sapient & most of the other companies calling employees in the office.
I love my WFH in PwC India & base location of Kolkata. & the best thing is stability in PwC India, they never lay off!!

Hello Fishes,

So far I received offers from PwC India, Capgemini and Lexmark for Data Engineering.

More are in pipeline from KPMG GS, TechM, Accenture.

But one peculiar thing is happening. I have appeared for 4 Cognizant interviews but in all I have been rejected. Whereas most of my friends had easily cleared Cognizant. I am switching tech, so I am a bit concerned like whether my knowledge is too shallow😐

Is it sign of an Imposter Syndrome 🥺

Pls help🙏🏾
