Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?
Hey guys. I have an interview with EY Parthenon M&A Finance coming up. My recruiter said it will be an interview to assess my M&A/F&A Skills. Is that just a long winded way to say a case interview? Also does anyone have any tips on the interview process? Financial analyst here with experience in ERP implementation and working for the consulting line of business for my current company. It’s an Indian body shop. My humble advice is to only take job here if you are facing unemployment else it looks bad on resume
Ascendion is a legit staffing firm, I’ve taken a contract through them before. Their benefits are not great (ex you pay 100% of the premiums) but they do offer what matters the most. You will be working with the client on a day to day, your only interaction with Ascendion will be submitting your timesheet every week and having your HR POC on file in case you have questions. Overall working with them was adequate.
good pay.. hybrid position. Reviews online are trash but nothing recent
I’ve since moved from the big 4 I was to lead architecture at one of the banks.
Ascendion formally collabera was selected for the first rfp I issued. And a few others in fact.
Let’s just say I’m not blown away. Lot of talk, little substance. Dont see the level of ownership I would expect and no chance in hell the work we brought them for will be delivered in 25.
Is the reputable client you speak of a bank? If so, you’re probably heading my way.
But this is only my view - may be an isolated one
Thank you for the question!
To clarify the relationship between Ascendion and Collabera: Collabera is our parent company, a well-established IT staffing firm that has been operating for over 25 years. In 2022, Collabera made a strategic decision to separate its engineering business into a dedicated entity, and Ascendion was born from that. While Collabera continues to focus on talent staffing solutions, Ascendion was established specifically for full-service digital engineering. Think of it as the same trusted ownership, but with a sharper, dedicated focus on engineering outcomes.
As for who we are today: Ascendion is a leader in AI-powered software engineering, helping businesses innovate faster, smarter, and with greater impact. We partner with Global 2000 clients across North America, UK, Europe, and APAC to solve complex challenges in data, experience design, software product engineering, and workforce transformation. Powered by expert engineers, thousands of AI agents, and our Engineering to the Power of AI™ (EngineeringAI) method, we deliver measurable outcomes that build trust, unlock value, and accelerate growth.
