This has to be a mistake, like a digit missing.

The bonus is a coupon for pizza.

Probably from Pizza by Alfredo

That 10-15 YOE req tho

likefunny

Well dang. I’m out. I do not have strong MS Word skills. Guess I have to settle for the $45k job.

funny

$50k straight is a good competitive salary for a controller in the Bay Area

funnylike

Per month.

likefunny

This job posting only makes sense if they copied and pasted a news add from the 1950s

likefunny

So California passed a law where you have to disclose the compensation on job postings. It sounds like companies are just going to put “$50,000+” to comply without actually being helpful lol.

likefunny

Jokes on them because they won’t get any respectable candidates like this.

like

That can't be right. But it says from $50K. Doesn't say what the top is. Still, that has to be an error. My interns earn more!

funnylike

Why is there a decimal point? I mean I would do it if it was $50,000.98

likefunny

It’s probably meant to say “from $150,000 per year”

like

Or maybe it’s 250K, it’s clearly missing a digit is all I was trying to say

Which bay area? I live in Pennsylvania and am so surprised with how much others are making. I only made 32k out of school. I now make 70k after 6 years and a CPA

likefunny

Lol thank you. I had to look it up. I had no idea what that meant. San Francisco! I get it now!

like

If it’s on indeed is a job you want?

like

is it a legal requirement to post it now or something? cause it says "from..."

smart

I think you’re onto something. Starting 1/1/23 companies in California employing more than 15 employees are required to include salary range in job postings. Maybe they are starting early and giving an absurdly low number so that still, no one has any clue what they’ll pay?

likesmart

I would think it’s a mistake and they meant 250

like

10-15 YOE plus CPA required starting from $50k, this is ridiculous!

funny

I have a feeling they won’t fill the role quickly lol

Jeez people. It says “FROM” which means the MINIMUM. Y’all just want to complain about everything.

We’re complaining because the job post is completely unhelpful. The salary transparency laws were made to help employees makes the best career decisions, by easily comparing salaries across job postings. This company is clearly trying to get around that with some vague, unhelpful, and borderline insulting range of a salary. So in my opinion, they deserve to get roasted and I hope they don’t fill that position.

One of my friends works as a Director in Nagarro. She has been there for 7 years and has a CTC of 42 with total yoe 17. Per current trend this is low even though she is a constant top performer. She says that even though delivery people play a pivotal role, they are not paid well. In her team, she sees technical people earning 45-50 at 10-11 yoe. So the factor is 2.5 for delivery vs 4.5 to 5 for technical roles. Per her, this is quite common in Nagarro & she is not an outlier. ctd in comments

How do find a recruiter in the legal field? Have been looking for a job for a year now and trying to transition into another practice area. Applied to more than 20 jobs and still no offers. I feel like I might need some help.
Also, I have no idea how these arrangements work. Do you pay the recruiter to look for the jobs or do you pay them when you get the job? Or does the employer pay them?

Working in public for three+ years I am starting to rethink my future. I am a firm believer in “paying my dues” into a career, but when I look at the “tone at the top” I can’t possibly imagine how anyone would WANT to stay. The idea of working 50+ hours a week for the rest of my profession. My quality of life sucks right now. At this point I would happily take a pay cut to work less, but do enjoy aspects of public. Someone please convince me it gets better and it is worth it to stay.
