Not sure about industry, but I'll tell you that overall the change to a new employer can be tough. I was used to being the go to for my clients and office and having a staff of 7 to do my stuff. Most people knew and liked me. You have to rebuild all those relationships and that trust again, which can be frustrating to work back into the role you enjoy. I told myself it'd just suck for 6 months and to deal. I'm nearing the end of my 4th month an things are slowly fitting where I want them.
It is. I went from EY to a local firm in tax. I wanted to stop traveling snd for my hours to decrease.
At the same time, I have only worked at a Big 4 after college for 8+ years. It is exciting, but a bit nerve racking to leave now. How is transition to the industry at a Senior Manager level? Any tips?
Would you have a team? That would be a big difference in industry since a lot of them run pretty slim. Many managers of no one.
