Yes! ADHD isn't a deficit of attention, but a regulation and executive dysfunction. The growing body of work, especially in studying women and girls is building a more complete understanding of how ADHD shows up.

I read the article a week or so ago, but I wanted to point out the irony of having an article about ADHD be as long as my freakin' arm. I got bored about half-way through it and only kept reading because I wanted to discuss with my siblings.

That's being polite if you ask me. The basis of ADD/ADHD/Asbergergers ..... what have you, is almost as old as the US is itself
.. 1798, but it's only been the last 40 years there has been anything resembling a treatment regime for it.

I just consider myself lucky I had good teachers growing up and have run into people around me who see my quirks as advantages more often than not.

Can't read. But that and the comments here reminds me of stuff that ADHD specialist Ned Hallowell talks about -- ADHD is more of an abundance than a deficit.

When I heard him speak about ADHD, it resonated more than any other things I had heard about it

Hi everyone
My brother wants to buy Financial modelling and valuation analyst (FMVA) by Corporate

know about the placement assistance but need it so that he can get placed as he is a 2020 grad)
Is this course worth buying or anyone

I've applied to a couple Data engineer positions but it seems I don't have the qualifications for them. Should I maybe look for Jr. Data Engineer positions to get experience and try to move up from there? If so anybody know of any Jr. Data Engineer positions available?

It’s looking like my job is gonna start asking us to return to the office. We have an open office plan and before we wfh FT I would save all my work for my telework days bc I can’t get shit done in the office. I’m having major anxiety about them making this decision. I know I’m not alone that people don’t want to return to the office. My ADHD and the open office just makes working from the office a nightmare and I’m feeling really nervous and kind of resentful.

For those who were diagnosed as an adult can you provide some insight into how you were able to obtain a diagnosis. I went to my primary care dr who referred me to another dr who specialized in mental health. He asked me about 5 questions before telling me I should see a neuropsychologist for an official assessment. The referral he gave me is super pricey and apparently isn’t covered by insurance. Is that normal?

I've asked for help, and, to avoid a long post, she expects me to figure it out. Perhaps you go through this too, but when I don't have a clear guide on completing big projects, it paralyzes me because I don't know where to start. On top of that, I have anxiety, so "it has to be perfect".

Hi! I’m a young professional with less than 2 years experience, started a new job 1.5 months ago. I’m having quite some difficulties on balancing out my response time to tasks. While I act incredibly fast if not immediately with some, I sometimes take 1-2 weeks with couple of hours worthy ones. Sometimes I ignore, procrastinate or simply other more urgent things come up to increase the delay. Also I work with 3 managers in my team which doesn’t help with expectations nor guidance. Any tips pls?
