Yes, but nothing really moves toward.
Wanted to piggyback on this - I’m curious as to what the current market rate is like for analyst level positions, say in NYC?

It’s very situational. I myself get messages almost every other week but most of the time they can’t match my current compensations. Even for those attractive roles. So I started asking them upfront. Some are understanding most are not.
Also I even went for the interview process of one of those attractive roles. 6 steps. The recruiter ghosted me for 2-3 weeks nothing on email and in the end a generic thank you message. And it’s a very good company too. So I don’t think it’s that thin but rather the numbers have increased for screening because of remote flexibility.
My guess is that they fired a lot during the pandemic and now are reopening but the salaries are lower as well. Like I’m 15 years in marketing with a good experience but they are offering usually under 100k year NY. 🤷🏼♀️
Like others have mentioned outreach has increased bc of remote, and options are thin but a lot of the times the recruiters cast wide nets and end up vetting you out anyways for lack of experience, etc. etc. I’ve had this happen quite a bit as well
