Been getting a ton of recruiter outreach messages lately, and a lot of them are attractive roles that I would never even be on a shortlist for. I'm a mid-range analyst at best.

Anyone else getting these messages too? Is the market really that thin? I find it a bit unbelievable because I spent two years unemployed and barely getting interviews prior to COVID.

I have 2 earlier companies where I absconded.

Quick one, Is it okay to always ask for time to collect thoughts before answering questions during case interviews or should we shoot from the hip? I stutter naturally so speaking without a bit of time to collect thoughts can be hard.

Which firms to meet with re lateral opportunities, which to avoid, etc. I’ve since spoken with a friend who has connections at other firms that could be a better fit.
