Been in advertising for a while and am ready for a change. Is it that much better in tech??

I know this question might be too general, but usually how long it takes from just starting to look at opportunities to landing a role in industry? I started to feel strongly about quitting my current role, but am worried I would stuck here before having an opportunity lined up.

Hi all Need some carrier guidance . I have 11+ years of experience in IIB (IBM Middleware). Now i am boared of it and I am not able to get good prospects in product based organizations . As of now I am thinking of following options 1) unskill with different cloud certification 2) change the stream and enroll in some Data science /ML courses like offered by grate lakes / upgrad type of online platforms . Please feel free to share your thoughts

Anyone switched from Becker to Wiley and regretted it? I did and though I appreciate the bite-sized lectures, I don't enjoy it as much as Becker. My access for Becker expired already and I don't want to spend 2k again 😭 such a tough choice to make but I feel like I'm not getting what I need from Wiley.

My key learning thus far in my career: Noone gives a shit about your ideas unless you're a head honcho. Real change is brought about from a position of authority.

Do you think it's worth moving to a tech company and get paid a lot more but not having as great of a WLB? I’m a third year associate wanting to leave my second law firm. My first two years of practice I was at a small firm and left to a mid-size firm to practice insurance defense. I have enjoyed the practice but not the firm. The firm’s culture is toxic. The firm has had 7 attorneys leave in the last year. Is it wrong for me to wanting to leave?
