New feature 🤦

Hi All,
After ED round of interview I got a mail from HR asking to submit few documents. In the mail HR has mentioned that I'm one of the shortlisted candidate and final selection is yet to be made. So how are my chances of getting an offer.
Is it something common that happens in JPMC.

Give yourself a break. It’s a very weird time. And if you haven’t been, mix in some in-person networking to the faceless job board stuff, which can super lonely and dehumanizing. Grab coffees or beers with old colleagues and hit up any networking event you see. It can put a bit of wind back in your sails to get in front of people that actually remember you fondly and think you’re good. Even if they don’t know of any opportunities right now, it helps get you top of mind for when things come up in future.
Don’t rely on recruiters reach out of your comfort zone. Do pro bono work. Don’t let the funk sink in and don’t keep looking back at what you should da coulda done! Even the best players get cut and benched. Use your bench time to get better at your game. I share jobs to old colleagues who I know are looking and vice versa. On platforms like LinkedIn that way you might get tagged in a post out of your network and it lets others out of your circle know you are looking and who you are. Plus it’s a moral boost because you know someone is looking out for you and you aren’t alone. Also put something in your calendar everyday to do its a boost.
Start a personal project
Agree with everything said so far. You are grieving…give yourself grace.
I’m there with you! Knowing you’re really good at what you do but not getting responses to jobs you know you should be considered for is super frustrating. Good luck try to keep your chin up. It’s all we can do is keep trying.
Rising Star
This country is being run by a collection of corrupt incompetents whose main qualifications are having been on TV or podcasts. Don't blame yourself.
Going through this exact thing right now. I’ve had to tell myself doors close for a reason.
I am so sorry this is happening to you. I am in the same boat with you. And it sucks and is scary here. But there is always hope!
Everyone has given great advice.
I would add that you should give as freely to yourself as you would to a friend. Say nice things to yourself, because you are amazing! Exercise really helps. I get in two active days a week; it should be more, but it is a start. Spend time with family and friends when you can and feel up to it. You will make it through this, as you have made it through other difficult things in your life✨
“Don’t let the bastards get you down”!
I’ve been there and it sucks so hard. But I shifted to using some of the time to just pour into myself and see what lit me up. It led to starting a new business which was really empowering. Project or otherwise, spend time on you. Wishing you luck
Not sure if I can be much help but a couple things I’d say:
Every time I got fired or laid off, it pushed me to a better job I loved more getting paid more. And everyone I spoke to, said the same thing.
Sometimes getting laid off is the best thing that could happen to you. It sucks now but once you get your next gig, you’ll look back and be thankful for it.
Then…keep going…
I know how you feel because I’ve been there before. Unfortunately in this industry, you’ll probably be in this position more than once. The good news is this rough patch will end, you will have a new job you love, and everything is going to work out. In the meantime, remind yourself how talented you are, I agree with someone else who said start a passion project.
The other thing you can do is volunteer your services in your community, to your local church, to a friend with a small business. You have tremendous skills that other people lack, and when you use your skills to help other people you feel useful and valued. On top of that, good karma is rewarded by the world.
Keep your body healthy and your brain will brighten up, too. Buy extra healthy food, drink more water than you have been, and get 30 minutes to an hour of exercise a day, even if it’s just a long uninterrupted walk. Take care of yourself, my friend.
You are not alone on this. I've feeling this way all week. The self doubt, the confusion, the loss of control, the feeling of what's wrong with me has me ruminating or asking am I just sending my resume into the black hole?
After a good cry, I pick myself up and take the day off from looking for a job. Go outside, go for a walk, take a long drive. Just being outside changes your mindset.
Hopefully, this crappy economy will get better
Appreciate you all. This is exactly what I needed.
