But one thing that have kept my mind off that is the graphics design freelance market, the market is quite saturated, but just literally small business would be willing to pay you for a one time project, I closed a $800 project three days ago when i cold message on Facebook to this small business, saw they needed a bit of branding and good graphics, and we had a zoom call and thay was it, quite the deal!👌

I had been working on a huge film for the past two years. I did the script, produced and directed. The company backing me is now defunct and so is my project alongside them. I'm so heartbroken, can anyone share any encouragement?

I have joined Nagarro almost a year now as a senior architect. However, I see lot of issues here. The company is great so far as employee friendliness is concerned. It may be rated as the top most company in that regard and that is why attrition is well within control. However, there are issues:

1. Project Allocation - allocated to projects without fitment with the role or skills. No internal job portal

2. Lots of seniors in bench for long time

3. No way to give company feedback

One suggestion, we had new team build 2 years back. All persons have left , only I am left with current project. even I resigned in Dec but got retained.
Now complete team left and I am only left in project as not getting much motivation to work on . Working as Project lead currently

I’m having a problem with micro management and design by committee starting to rear its ugly head in my company. Product team lead not trusting his design team to make design decisions, making unreasonable demands and putting undue pressure on us. Any advice on how to address this before it becomes a reason to start looking for other work?

How many years after college did it take you to become an art director?

I went through six rounds of interviews including putting together a 30 minute presentation which I presented to the whole team. The whole process took about six weeks. I turned down another lead position at a different company waiting. After all that they told me that hiring for this role was on hold until further notice. I wanted to share that I am in my first job as ui/ux expert and I am the only ux/ui person in the team. I am expected to take care of entire research and design of the product. It becomes very overwhelming as the product that I am working on is in a early phase and I am expected to think about ui as well as ux and also design entire app on my own.There is no user interview or user testing happening as my project manager thinks it can be done after product is launched. Please help!

Is $180k OTE competitive compensation for a Head of Product Design in a startup? Remote role. East Coast US hours. Managing a team (hands on too) so likely not a checkbox 40h work week.

Just wondering if any Junior designers feel the same but I work as the only graphic designer in a small digital marketing agency and lately there isn't any new projects and work coming in at least in my "department". No one is really touching base on anything but I'm still getting paid a salary ($42k/y). I worry that they may just cut me off any time soon since I feel I haven't been contributing as much as I want despite reaching out for any new requests. Thought?
