So I've had 2 hiring managers and several recruiters from Amazon reach out to me about applying for some open positions with the company (android). I completed the coding assessment and now they want me to go through a round of 5 hour interviews next week. Is there a good chance I'll be hired if engineering managers are reaching out to me? I'm really not sure how badly I want to work for them and I don't want to be laid off months after being hired on. Anyone know what Amazon hiring is like?

Why would you want to still work at a place that disrespects you consistently by ghosting?
Forget about them. Time wasters.
Yes! What do you have to lose?
I do not understand the people in this app who tell people to throw out every job opportunity they have because of these weird social stances. Are you guys all drowning in offers that you can throw out relationships you’ve been maintaining for a year in hopes they pan out? What is wrong with you people?
If this is how they treat you before hiring, can you imagine what working for them would be like? C’mon y’all, it’s freaking 2019. We leaving these types of companies in the past.
I want to work at the company. I think it’s the recruiter who’s useless...
It’s not quite as simple as that, but I understand your point :)
I email a recruiter at a company once a quarter about a job. Been doing it for 4 years now. I usually say something charming, ask how they are and just try and stay on their radar. Finally last year she offered me a freelance gig.
Keep trying. You’ve got nothing to lose and everything to prove that you’re resilient and passionate
