Hi Fishes,
I am currently working world's largest beer company. I have current CTC of 25 LPA and I am expecting hike of 10% at least within the company.
I got interviewed at Pepsi Co for Lead -2 position and have cleared all the rounds. How much can I expect, I have just asked 30% on current CTC.
Please do let me know as it will be very helpful. Do they provide relocation allowance, do i need to submit any documents for them. Also, do they offer any joining bonus?

I’m job hunting in Los Angeles, looking at a variety of titles (HRBP, Sr. HRBP, Manager, Sr. Manager, Director). I have 8 YOE and my SHRM-SCP. I reached my report limit on payscale.com, so I used a variety of other sites to price the roles (BLS, salary.com, Glassdoor, LinkedIn, Robert Half). The problem I’m having is the huge inconsistencies between sources (there are $40k differences between some of the identified medians). (Continued…)
JPMorgan Chase recruiter from Poland has reached out about a role in the UK and has tried to call me from a polish number, but can’t hear a thing during the phone call. She then messages me on LinkedIn to say she will call me in an hour due to having connection issues.
Does this sound legit?

Dallas. Lots of fit 20-30 somethings in the core neighborhoods (Uptown/Oak Lawn/Knox-Henderson/Lower Greenville)
Not hick vibes at all. I am not from Austin but I’ve spent quite a bit of time there and it’s significantly whiter than the other large cities in Texas. Not saying that is an issue, but it’s definitely noticeable. I also didn’t see very many black people at all (Austin is 7-8% black vs. 24-25% in Dallas and Houston), and I also didn’t see very many Hispanic people except on the outskirts of the city (even though Austin has a large Hispanic population on paper). From the positive PR that Austin receives I was expecting it to be very diverse and it’s not at all. It’s really just white people and a few Asians (7%).

Chicago fits the bill
Boston - Very young & diverse due to world class universities, startups, tech and biotech industries. Very walkable/bikeable city, so I often see young folks walking, biking and running for fitness/health reasons. Boston is small and well connected so people hardly own car. Unfortunately it’s HCOL city.

Sounds like Miami hits most of your point. But people are not neighborly. Tampa would work.
Rising Star
Strong dating scenes at that age are in HCOL areas/ large cities. Chicago is the lowest COL of major U.S. cities, followed by DC area.
Honolulu if you can find an opportunity there. Else — San Diego, Miami, New York would all be great as well
Well, where are you now?
Can you work remotely with your job? If you can, I suggest you pick out a few cities that appeal to you and stay in each for a few months. Each city has its own pros abd cons. That should help you find out which one fits your personality best.
Where are located? This is a global app.
I can recommend Amsterdam, Barcelona and Berlin in Europe.
I’ve been meaning to visit but idk how difficult of a transition it would be for an American working in tech and how likely to would be for me to experience racism. I do need to visit Amsterdam though

May be a controversial recommendation, but Minneapolis/St Paul
I absolutely love the twin cities and hope to move back one day… but they do not meet the neighborly criteria. Super hard to make friends because everyone is friends with their childhood friends and the Minnesota nice issue
