My husband & I are trying to figure out how to safely have family see the baby. One of the recs we’ve been seeing is for visitors to wear a face mask. My husband is concerned we will have an emotionally stunted baby if she can’t read facial expressions, see mouth movement, etc. for the first x months of her life.

Is it bad to reach back out to a candidate to withdraw your rejection decision?

I’m a new recruiter at my company. I had a candidate who showed eagerness to learn but exp in a skill was lighter than what my hiring team said they were looking for and therefore I chose to not move forward. However, I’ve been rethinking my decision. Talking more with my hiring team I learned they made exceptions before and so I feel I should’ve given them a chance at an interview.

I could use some advice. I’ve been working at a company for 4 months now and am relatively happy there. I was approached by a recruiter and never turn down and interview then somehow ended up landing a new job offer. I think I’d like to stay at my current company but this new job is offering me more money. Is it distasteful to try and get my current job to match? How should I approach this? Any insight or advice would be greatly appreciated.

1Y here that started at an AM200 5 wks ago. Dream job, dream market. Issue is: CA Bar results drop Friday and I’m positive that I failed. I had mono and two bouts of strep throat concurrently last May/June and lost a month of bar prep. I pushed thru and gave it my best shot, but I know it wasn’t good enough. Now that I landed this job, I’m scared of (1) getting fired, (2) tarnishing my reputation, and/or (3) studying to retake in Feb (if permitted) while billing 1900+. Any thoughts or advice?
