W was so so cramped ! I was very surprised by city center Marriott, vanilla at best but location was very convenient. Would stay again.
Thanks all! Yes, have considered the W and Marriott for location alone.
Has anyone had any experience with the Sir Albert? In De Pjip but looks nice and nearly half the point cost of W or Marriott
W is great hotel and location. Rooms a bit small. Element is nice as well. Little further out but quick uber ride
W is great but expensive and very small rooms (and no desk/table either if that bothers you, it only has a stool to sit at the bathroom vanity).
The city center Marriott is actually pretty great - nothing all that fancy but awesome location, huge rooms, and a really good lounge with free breakfast.
Renaissance is fine but situated at one end of Amsterdam so makes it hard to walk the whole city.
I’ve stayed at the Marriott and the Element and a number of non Marriott properties. The Marriott is nothing special, but I like the location. You can walk most everywhere you want to go. Element is pretty new property, nicer than Marriott (but does have that hospital feel that a lot of Elements have in my opinion). It’s inside a little mall, but other than that you have to cab into town. It’s an easy choice for me to stay closer to the action. I haven’t stayed at the W though.
