Guys, serious suggestions?

You can try Flow: The Psychology of Optimal Experience. It's a good one.

To follow? None. Cause they were all written by someone who lived a completely different life.

Although you may try stoicism books.

This would be a good starter:

Hello Fishes,

I have initiated Resignation and got a good offer. HR offered retention and has almost matched my new company offer but my manager kept on insisting me not to revoke the papers.

I have informed HR to assign a different project which suits my role.

My question: Why does a manager asking an employee not to revoke. The same manager promised to increase my ctc but he failed to fulfill. Now HR is inclined to fulfill my expectations but manager asking to quit!

Your thoughts please

Hi Fishes

My employer is not considering employer's PF contribution in my fixed component and employer's PF in my case is 12% of Basic instead of minimum required. I feel that this is making my fixed component to be liable to a higher tax.

I feel that I would have got the same in hand even if my fixed is 2 lakhs lower and employer's PF is part of my fixed as even that portion will be excluded out of tax calc.

Is my thought process wrong? If not, how can I improve my in-hand reducing my tax?
