Recently made one year with the firm and got my CPA exams out of the way/waiting on my license. I'm not sure if I should be transitioning to a staff accountant role since I don't want to get stuck in tax. I appreciate any insights.

I’ve got about 20 years cross channel experience in marketing, split between big brands and startups, and I’m considering pivoting into a data science/data analyst role. I know it will initially be a step back in comp but is it at all realistic for a person with certificate level experience in data analysis but a decent marketing management background to expect $150-200k comp or is that mostly for degreed candidates (or not realistic at all)? How do you get motivated about work after weeks of just not caring?

Just finishing my first week in as an audit intern and genuinely I have no idea what I'm doing or even a general idea of the audit process. The senior associate left the engagement last week so it's just me and an associate, and they don't have time to give me instruction.
