McKinsey & Company Hi all! Any fishes at BCG and/or McK have time to chat sometime within the next few days/weeks?
I’m a consulting analyst at Accenture, really interested in strategy work (mainly tech/software clients but open to all backgrounds) hoping to make the jump some time next year. I’d very much appreciate connecting to understand your journey with the firms and the work you do.
Thanks in advance, and happy holidays!

Received an offer as Engagement Director from Salesforce (CSG, pre sales, L9). Great benefits package, 40% increase in total comp and better WLB.
I do love the people in my practice and current client, but career trajectory has stalled after taking parental leave earlier this year and (yet another) change in leadership.
Realistically, making to Director is 2-3 years away and will require sacrificing time with my family that I am not prepared to give up.
Should I stay or should I go?
How do I pivot from a broker to any job in tech?
Product Management at a large bank vs Business Analytics/S&O for FAANG? Recently started in the former role, but have interview calls for the latter just come up in my mailbox. Similar comp when adjusted for the different job locations. Can anyone help me with the Pros and Cons please. I know the roles are different, and so are the industries, need to understand difference career paths and difference in corporate cultures. JPMorgan Chase Google LinkedIn Citi

Guys there’s this boot camp that I came across that trains people to get jobs in Top consulting firms and has a fee plan wherein you pay once you get placed. I just wanted to know if someone here has any experience with this ?

It all depends on the company’s size and reputation. B4 firms have a pretty good rep, so if there is one that didn’t previously have an SAP practice (perhaps due to Independence concerns), I would be OK since they’d be able to whether the storm. Similarly, I would be OK with a firm like GT or Slalom since they are large enough and diverse enough. But outside of those 2 (and Accenture), I would shy away from it. Could be fun, though, and presents a nice upside, but also risky given the anticipated recession.
Rising Star
It was just an example. You can replace SAP with any service or software system
If this firm is able to secure a proven leader from a reputable firm that would also make this more appealing. Though I imagine it’s hard to get a rockstar on day 1 to lead the practice

For enough money, and an opportunity at practice leadership, they could snag someone
Big consulting company that is not Big4? What is your role? Will you be leading their new SAP practice? If you are at consultant level, going to Big4 is a good choice. You will work with great people and learn a lot.
