Billing question here. I’ve been having tech issues for two weeks now, I obviously need a new computer. Anyway, my main concern is that I’ve been loosing A LOT of time trying to fix these issues with our IT department then updating and configuring my temporary replacement. Have any of you been in this situation before? Do I bill the firm? Not bill it all - which I really don’t want to do because my hours will be significantly low for the days I had issues? Help!

This isn’t billable. Unless your firm allows you to bill for admin time, which is doubtful. You’ll have to make up the hours but if you’re concerned, chat with your supervising attorney.

It’s review season at my agency. I’m struggling with what goals to put down or things I want to learn. Not because I think I’m perfect (ha) but because our job description gets so amorphous as we elevate. I’ve been an Account Director for about 3 years. What are goals that y’all have set or things you’ve looked to learn as you’ve gotten more senior?

I worked FT as a paralegal and went to law school in the evening. I recently interviewed at a small ID firm in employment law with about 9 attorneys. They asked for a writing sample. I dont have anything recent but provided what I had from last yr in a legal writing class, it was not enough for them. I became licensed this May so I dont have an array of motions to pick from. Then they asked for my undergrad transcript, at this point, I am now annoyed They are not Biglaw. Are they going overboard
