I am looking to buy my first rental property in a couple of months. What questions should I ask the realtors during the vetting process.

Not looking for a home for myself neccesarily . I am treating it as an investment.

I have a 401k from my previous employer in Meryl Lynch. Current 401k is in fidelity. I would like to know if it’s easier to roll over ex employer contributions to fidelity (or) open an independent IRA account. I don’t intend to withdraw money from or take a loan on 401ks

How concerned are you about inflation? We have 70% savings rate and 50% of our expenses are housing / utilities of which the largest part is rent which is a fixed contract (no CPI escalation, no automatic increases, paying same rent for 4 years). No car as we are living in a large city. So if I look at the components of CPI and what’s rising I am feeling pretty „good“ about it. The one thing I am „worried“ is asset inflation but obviously that benefits me directly. What am I missing?
