Tata Consultancy Services made a revenue of $25B last FY. This translates to roughly 194546Crores. As per reports Rajesh Gopinathan, our beloved CEO saw a bump of 26.6% on his remuneration which sums up to 25.77 CPA. TCS saw a record breaking YOY revenue which was from $22B to $25B. Now without complaining or starting a feud, lets start on a healthy discussion about what & how TCS could have done better this year for their front end employees who indeed lead to the revenue every year!
I hate this job. That is all.

No you should not. It will be the worst move ever 🙄
OP, I have worked for Booz a couple times now and the culture was good in my experience. I worked in the SIG last time so it provided a little difference experience than the market teams. Booz is not an up or out company and will happily let you stay at whatever level ours comfortable. The work/life balance was great as well. Not sure what your skills are but be prepared to network and figure out where they plan to put you. One piece of clarity I would ask for is whether they have a position lined up or if you’re a capability hire. All in all, seems like an easy decision to take it. Worst case you move on in a year or so
SDS1, you auditioning for a job?
I have a PhD in computation data analytics fwiw. Thank you to those that provided value add input. Yes BA4, it was 170k
I've seen Associate hired at almost that level, ~155-160. These were SIG, data science, FSP clearance. These were people that were clearly slated to be LAs, but would be hired as Associates until they got the lay of the land and then promoted a year after hiring.
OP, ask about the specific contract you'll be staffed on and talk to someone on it about their day to day. Assuming you have a clearance, ask about what you'll be doing until it transfers. Ask to speak to whoever your Sr.Assoc. or Principal will be to ask about whether other contacts will be able to support that pay rate if something doesn't work out with this project.
Isn’t associate equivalent to SC at D? That’s a lot of 💰
OP said it’s not about money so he can’t decide. If he stays he makes 120k next year and he likes the culture then he likes 170k which is NOW as well. Apparently OP is confused because he is getting a manager salary and people are going nuts to convince him to take the offer. We consultant loves to gives advice when it comes to others and can’t make decisions for ourselves
Took it, so we'll see how this new year will start. Thanks all
That's what a low range SM makes at ACN. U don't want it just pass along job rec.
Yeah that is more money that seasoned data scientists make, we’re talking the data scientists who can write end-to-end data ingestion and prediction pipelines. While optimizing against massive streaming data
I would even push to be a Lead Associate coming on board because that is very high for an Associate, almost unheard of. Even if you are a high performing highly visible associate at Booz that is way too much. Although, with your background maybe it’s a very niche role and requires clearance? I’m an LA at BAH by the way.
MP1, if it was just about looking money I would go work for a tech firm triple my pay and change my life.
D1, just concerned about culture of what I've heard about Booz.
Booz hired my buddy for a contract role for 125 an hour and recruiting form keeping their commission so imagine how much money Booz is paying. I thought when it comes to salary Booz is weak
Doesn’t sound out of line for an in-demand tech role + clearance. Just don’t plan of getting any raises, bonuses, learning anything, or liking your job :)
On the plus side - reasonable hours.
I don’t know. Do you like money?
Clearance? That is high for a Booz Associate, they may be looking for you to move to Lead Associate in the next few years...if you stay an associate annual increases might be nominal.
Don’t do it. I used to work there and the culture is terrible. Based on the salary, you’re either more experienced and are expected to plateau at Associate for years before LA, or there is a specific need to staff a project - after which you’ll be hard to justify and on the chopping block. It definitely sounds too good to be true from Uncle Booz
170k is high for an Associate. Are you sure it's not for a Lead Associate? If so, that would make sense. If anything goes wrong, they blame the Lead Associate.
OP don’t look left or right, pull the trigger
Take the money
