I have an offer from Capco, it was much lower then I expected for the SC level EA at £80k. I'm at a stable role at a bank with a great WLB. My wife is a front line work. So I can take care of the baby, with the next coming soon. My dilemma is, become a consultant or stay where I am at. Consulting looks attractive as I would be speed up my career progression. Though the travel costs and child care does not warrant the base salary Capco Should I take the hit and join capco?

Standard for PwC would be c.10-15% discounted salary on London going rates…
I have worked as a SM in London - more like 82-85. If you are experienced maybe 90-95. That’s where it caps off - I would project with these conservative numbers.
Deloitte is 81k minimum outside of London, 90k average middle of banding after a few years . It's basically 10% less than London identical roles
But that's mainland UK ie Glasgow, Manchester, Bristol, Edinburgh etc. And belfast lower (not sure £)
Depends on the firm and region. Can be anywhere between 85k to 140k
130k is the upper limit in B4 Manchester.
