Hi All, I recently interviewed at Amazon and Google for software engineer and passed both interviews. I have an offer on the table from Amazon but with Google I am officially in team matching and my recruiter tells me that the queue is pretty backed up now and it can take a long time. My question is should I take the Amazon offer now or decline Amazon and hold out for Google? I have heard that Google has better wlb/benefits. But I'm scared to decline Amazon without a guaranteed job offer.

How is the culture at Slalom DC? What about work life balance? In terms of salary, what is a good base salary to consider? Will they provide bonus? Any difference between Principal and Sr. Principal?
What is comp like for Consultant 1/2 at EYP?
Hey! PwC Deloitte Accenture EY KPMG MBA degree (if it really matters) 3 years in a smaller consulting company, 2 years leading Global and National expansion for two companies. 5 years working in banking and wealth management. Currently a Manager leading the wealth management strategy.
Currently in Georgia, open to relocation to Texas or New York if needed but would really appreciate guidance as well as a referral. Looking to make a pivot back into the industry I have a passion for.
Consulting work is feast or famine. When you are on a project you might find there is no WLB at all and then when the project is over you might find you are on the bench and anxious about getting cut. It's a lot to consider. I'm actually looking to get out and find something more stable, bur I assume you will get some more opinions here. Best of luck@!
Capco is staff aug. you can take a 9-5 role.
I would avoid if you're not getting a pay bump over your current position. I am in the Tech consulting dept at Capco US. Like someone else said, we are mostly client staff augmentation. Promotion opportunities are limited unless you're hustling and bringing in new clients/business for the company.
Thank you all for the help it really did allow me to make the right choice. I did try to negotiate but they would not budge. I let the opportunity go.
Negotiate on the offer. Tell them you need higher comp or you'll stay where you're at.
