Just joined a smaller firm who uses Paychex for their 401k provider. I noticed they do not offer too many options for funds to invest in and seems lower end than my prior Schwab 401k offered. 1) Anyone have experience with Paychex and have similar observations? 2) I’m leaning towards doing enough 401k pretax contribution on Paychex to get the company match and then do the rest as a Roth IRA to obtain better investments. Any other options I’m not thinking of?
What do you recommend investing your money in if you don’t think you’ll live very long in retirement? Most my family hasn’t made it past 70 due to cancer etc., so I’m concerned the money I’m putting in 401k will never be able to be used by me… thank you.

I understand everything is in a system, so can they do a plus one to my count? I am doing this in case they come in at the low end of salary and can't raise salary. Trying to think of non monetary low monetary benefits to close gap

This bowl: USA vs non USA I enjoy a lot of threads in this bowl, but equally a hell of a lot are US specific, and pharma advertising just doesn't work in the same way anywhere else in the world. Would love to know what proportion of the active bowl users are based inside vs outside of the USA? Should threads always have country/city tags where relevant? Edit for clarity, it's not just DTC vs HCP, it's also queries like who's hiring, who's doing good work, process, workload, holidays, etc.
Really got into investing this year. Have about 60-65 percent of my money in investments (not including 401k). I want to add more, but not sure if that’s enough.

Have any M&A associates (a) gone in house and re-tooled to a more commercial counsel role and (b) found that the hours are actually better in their new role (ie little to no night and weekend work)? Considering a move in house but get concerned that I’d be dealing with the same hours for less pay.
