Can anyone help understand the current job market condition ? I see companies like Vimeo have started laying off their workforce . This has been making me question my risking it with joining start ups .

After 6 years of temporary contracts and unstable situations, I find my dream job in my dream company. All of a sudden the world goes upside down and I get laid off. I start sending hundreds of applications, with only 2 recruiters getting back to me to say I don’t have experience for the job (this is how it works in Italy). Add a terrible health situation in my family and it seems there’s no light at the end of the tunnel. Ugh. 😞

Follow up post to my last post…My husband was laid off from the company where I also work. I am feeling really isolated / depressed about working and moving forward. I’m also getting to a stage where I’m really sad that people haven’t reached out to either my husband or myself to send well wishes or provide support. Does Globant terminates the employment of certain trainees after their probation(3 Months) based on their performance in the training period? Some of the fresher trainees were laid off this morning without giving a notice or reason.

We were told that the probation period is a training period & not an elimination one. It was shocking as a few of those trainees were actually good.

Never join TCS especially Public Service(erstwhile Govt.) ISU. I had worst experience, joined as fresher and worked for 4 years. Weekend works , long hours 😪. After 3 years, I asked for release to manager these he directed me to his Godfather (group lead - Rakesh Lunia), he was very rude on phone citing "ye koi dukan ni h aaj yahan kam kia kal us shop pe kam krna". After the call got disconnected I dropped mail his manager mentioned what he discussed. Then after.........
