Anyone worried about layoffs?

Hi Everyone,
I was unfortunately impacted directly due to the recent layoffs. I am a Backend Developer(Nodejs) with a little over 1 year experience with DLTLabs. It was a good journey where I grew professionally.
Though it is a difficult time for me but I am excited for the new opportunities and experiences that lays ahead .
I am open to new job role of Backend/Node.js/Javascript developer. I would appreciate it if you can forward any openings or opportunity that aligns with my experience.

The severance package at Meta for laid off employees almost makes it nice to be laid off depending on what your personal situation is….. personally wouldn’t mind getting 4+ months of full pay to reset and think about what’s next 😬

Any stories of people getting admitted to the NY bar despite getting fired from their first legal job? For context I was fired from my first big law job during Covid-April last year, due to performance issues and failure to meet billables. They’ve remained somewhat neutral on my employment affidavit by leaving the box regarding satisfactory performance blank and indicating it’s firm policy to only verify dates of employment. Am rather nervous! Thoughts? Has anyone gone through this? How?

What is the deal with all the layoffs? I’m hearing there have been layoffs all across the board. I’m also hearing massive rehiring. Is any of that true?

I got laid off from my job as an account manager at a SAAS company. I’ve been applying non stop for similar jobs in saas for the past 2 months and I’m not having a lot of success with interviews. Either not getting them or not getting an offer because they go with a candidate with more experience (I have 1 year experience). Any advice for companies to apply to or with getting an offer despite not having as many years experience as others?

I’ve been a little depressed after being laid off from my job I only had for 6 months. I took this job to be closer to home with the intention of this being a long term job for me. I’m so lost. I’ve been spending hours and hours trying to update my resume, but at the same time, I’ve been thinking if I want to stay on the same career path because it's what I know and have been doing for 15-plus years. I worry I will fall into a job I don't want.

Any recommendations for industries and roles where you are required to travel for periods of time across USA or internationally? For example, I worked at a trade show company (before CoVID event industry layoffs) and loved the balance of office & show travel. I have a bachelors in marketing but have mostly field sales/sponsorship/event coordination experience as well as wine/spirits industry experience (3yrs). Google search results “travel blog” or teach English are not helpful. Thank you :)

How about reviews on job security in Accenture?? Glassdoor, Quora are full of negative reviews about layoff in accenture..

Anyone else really confused and worried about all the major layoffs in the tech space. I’ve seen all size firms layoff all types of work forces.

I have been going on interviews and noticed 2 department heads already assume I was laid off or fired due to a 4 months gap. I explained I left my last role due to short term health issues that have been resolved. Not even sure how to respond when they assume. Any advise? Thanks!

I got laid off during Covid and pivoted to PM at FAANG and a partner is reaching out to me about rejoining. A part of me misses consulting but have the salty taste of my lay off experience.

I don’t understand how someone can lie about loving you for 6 months. We were together for almost a year (broke up a week before our anniversary). I said I love you first and he said it back. I asked for more reassurance last month with saying I love you more often. Now all of a sudden he said he didn’t know if he loved me and that love meant marriage for him.
