Hi fishes! I volunteer with The Art of Good, a creative collective helping small businesses affected by the pandemic. They are seeking a little help from a media professional. Need an SEM POV for a small business looking to change their name and relaunch their brand. This is non-paid. More about giving back while in-between gigs. :) If you can help out or want to learn more, please reach out to me via LinkedIN. Thank you!! www.linkedin.com/in/karenkohn/

Every job I actually got was NOT done in this fashion. And literally every time I did it application-first, I *never* got the job.
Whenever a recruiter contacts me with a laundry list of tasks, I politely ask them to tell me the pay, and to talk on the phone first. I tell them it’s a matter of policy that I talk it out first, because I don’t have time to fill out all these forms that often lead nowhere.
This is the right answer.
Recruiters want your info in their system so they can show candidates are being sourced, contacted, etc. On the side is invisible
If you’re interested in the job, just ask the recruiter the salary range so you can be sure it makes sense to move forward? Otherwise I don’t see any cons lol that’s how 95% of people apply for jobs
The recruiter has to share your info with the hiring manager to confirm they want to move forward. While they SHOULD be able to do this with LinkedIn links they also want you in their trackers.
That’s just how it works usually
