Never ever ever pin compensation hopes on a promotion in the same company. Negotiate a way better salary by leaving. And then do it again 3-5 years later. Makes worlds of difference.
That’s good advice, I know whatever they offer is still going to be too low for me. I’ve applied to dozens of jobs and hope something pans out for me
Advisory makes a LOT less than consulting to start (especially homegrown)

SC 1 at EY is going to be right around $100k; I’m very surprised that you’re at $65 at D

Your question is very generic, what country are you in? What practice are you in? Advisory, Consulting, Tax or Audit? If in Consulting, which Operating Portfolio? Which Market Offering? Are you Commercial or GPS? No ones answers will really help until you break it down to the area you’re in. I never heard of “Forensic Consultant”...it’s not typical consultant work in Consulting which makes me think you’re not in the Consulting practice. Perhaps you should repost with the specifics of your group and ask people to give you a salary reference.
Also, talk to your Talent Business Advisor to see if your salary is at market level. It’s all tied to the skills and project revenue, so you won’t get a salary similar to Consulting SC.
