The candidates that apply to those two different cohorts are very different. As and Early Decision candidate, you are likely trying to make a career switch. While the J-Term candidates will have employer sponsorship and will return by the end of the program, or work for their family’s company. In short, J-Term is not for career switchers.
You will ultimately get rejected if you don’t fit those molds for J-Term.

If allowed, what kind of changes should be made on the J-term application?
Usually not in same year
