Geez even with the PHD and the Mck tags? I know people from IBM that got in...I really have no shot then....have you thought about getting into another tech (Microsoft, Adobe, MANA, Salesforce) and then exiting to Google?
Change your email. I literally made a new email address, applied to a role at Google, and got an interview invite that same day lol. Also edit your resume to include keywords from the job description
I've heard the same from other coworkers. Apps won't convert to interviews. At first I thought maybe they had something against hiring consultants, but I've seen a handful of exceptions with no obvious common thread.
What do those coworkers suggest? Since in this case referrals haven’t really helped
I work in Talent/Recruiting and my perspective is that having too many applications will work against you. Nothing you can do about it now, but perhaps you were applying to the wrong roles previously. The hiring at FAANG companies has changed drastically over the past couple of years, and those who could not get traction previously are getting a chance sometimes, but in your case you may want to give it some time and try again down the road.
Maybe you’re submitting it wrong.. unless your PhD is for like western culture and your McK tag is fake, I’m surprised they’re not giving any interview
My therapist can attest to everything being very, very real 😅 but yeah…same.
I would never do this but since you’ve tried 50 times… have you trained reaching out to a recruiter through LI or emailing to ask? Have you ever gotten to the interview stage? If not, maybe it’s an issue with your resume keywords, something might be throwing things off early in the process.
