If you look on GoodRX or Mark Cuban Cost Plus, it's almost always cheaper than using our firm's health insurance.
You can thank your HR leadership for being so incompetent that they found a way to pay significantly more for prescription drugs than the cash price.
Yes same for GT. Always have to shop around. GoodRX usually cheaper than using paid for insurance🤕🤒😮💨🤯
I don't use it 😔 diabetic here, I just pay everything out of pocket and it ends up less of a headache/hassle
The bright side is the HSA rolls over even after you leave and basically another retirement plan if you have anything left over then, so there’s that. I personally wouldn’t max it and only try to contribute what I need, just so I have more upfront cash, but no big deal if i over estimate, i guess the idea is to never pay for health care costs with after tax funds
I pay max like $5 per prescription and have a few monthly ones
Yes our insurance is trash
That’s garbage healthcare, jesus. Where I work (not PwC), if you get the right insurance package (the one I have), I never pay more than $50 for a prescription. $50 is the max they can charge me for a prescription, most of them are $10-$20. My out of pocket each pay is $99 for insurance. It’s worth it to me because I use it. We have other options for health insurance premiums that are cheaper but the $99/pay one is the best one. Are you on the cheapest insurance plan or something?
Just to make sure, you were using your express scripts number rather then your united healthcare? Because my understanding is that is our prescription coverage. Don’t know how good or bad it is to be honest because I get limited prescriptions that are free.
Our United Healthcare card, does not have Rx number on it. All subscriptions are part of "other " deal. My Pharmacist said that he first time see so terrible plan, he even asked if I work in very small company who cannot offer better plan...
No, I picked the most expensive plan, low deductible, and I lost on it. PwC is not contributing to HSA account for this plan, and plus I need to pay till I will get to my deductible amount. First time see this thing.
There is no good plan to choose.
Im sorry to hear that - let me know if you want a referral to a company with a good healthcare plan
