Deloitte is not as generous.
No sick leave is illegal in the US, which country are you in? Or is it baked into PTO?
EY has unlimited PTO, meaning you will never have to take any.
I mean I've already scheduled my 5 weeks spread over the year. Just like any other year. No issues on leadership approvals
No consulting firm can impress me with their “sick leaves”, “holidays” and “paid time off”, because most of those days go unused unless you’re a PPMD (because their metrics aren’t affected by using all those days like staff’s is). If a time off is “paid” then it mustn’t really count toward your utilization or billable hours. It is a borderline unethical metric to hold people to that IMHO.
Anyway, Deloitte’s policies are not very different from above, but I definitely think that it’s a better company to work for than EY to learn and grow. That said, unless you know that you’re PPMD material, I wouldn’t spend more than 5-7 years in either.
Industry exit from most consulting companies if you overstay is not good.
Non monetary benefits are similar. I accumulate 23 days of PTO every year, plus one week shutdown at year end.
Isn't PTO 25 days?
