Hi Fishes,
Can anyone tell me how many rounds of interview are there in JPMorgan Chase & Co?
I had only 1 round as of now, it was with the Process head VP along with the person I will be reporting (if got selected)
It's been almost 4 days since I had that interview; however, no feedback has been shared with me.
I can see that my profile/application is under review for basic requirements.
Should I consider my profile as reject?
Any thoughts/guidance would be highly appreciated.
Thank you

I suppose it’s possible but I don’t think I would ever hire without interviewing the candidate. How do you know if they are a good fit? Or didn’t lie on the resume? You would have a disadvantage over those that do interview. Fit can be a very important piece of hiring. If you have 10 candidates with the same skills, I’m going to want to see which candidate is best for who they’re working with, how they would handle situations, etc. Most jobs are more than doing the thing. I suggest working with a coach and practicing interviewing.
I think the commentors are focusing on the wrong part of your post, and telling you why interviews are important. I think it might be more helpful to hear about ways to calm anxiety prior to and during interviews. For me, it helps to review my resume/cover letter/job posting the evening before and day-of. I also review and practice interview questions--you can google lists and lists of questions. I still get nerves, but it's not as bad as when I first graduated.
Maybe do “trial” interviews with Chat GPT? The feedback could prove to be useful. Unfortunately, unless you actually interview for a job there is little possibility of being hired.
You know you can do the work. How does a company know that you can? Interviews are one of the most tried and tested, but admittedly, not always successful ways to gauge minimum caliber
The truth!
In this awful job market, not interviewing with so many candidates is almost impossible. The interview is your way to show your worth and capable. Your only chance to land a job would be if someone close to the hiring manager gives a referral that can vouch for your worth but you’ll likely still have to go through the interview formality.
You can try practicing answering mock questions and recording it so you can make adjustments and be more comfortable. You can ask a friend to interview you as practice as well.
Good luck to you!
They interview you to see if you're a good fit
Can you? Yes! But you are not likely to find any kind of decent paying job without the interview.
I get the anxiety though. I have felt it many times before.
Just read a lot of interview questions and prepare good answers for all of them. Once you are in the interview, I think you will find many of your prepared answers can apply to many different questions
Good luck! You can do it, I know you can
Exactly that! I'm not sure I'd even trust a company that hires just on the basis of a CV submission.
The employer can hire you without an interview if they want to, but they have to fill a quota of applicants and play the long game. Most of the time they already know who they are going to hire anyway.
Yes in most cases you’re right we do know who we are of time, but here problem. You can look great on paper, but come into the interview, not properly dressed, seemingly distracted, not interested in what is being asked & I could go on, but truthfully, I’m trying to keep this short. Things of this nature as a person who does interviews for the present company I work for. It’s a big turn off if you are not paying attention to me in the interview then how are you going to respect me as the manager in charge? I’m giving you my time & intention ( yes I get I’m paid to do that) but respectfully you should be focused on the interview & nothing else during that time frame. If I feel like somebody is really not wanting to be at this interview at all, I promise you I will cut that interview down to 15 minutes to be done & you won’t get hired. Because that shows me that you’re being forced into getting work & you are not going to be an asset to the company. Have told my children growing up & started going into the job market that your attitude & what you bring to the table you are is what is going to make or break you getting a job. If the job requires a résumé, give them a résumé & maybe a couple of letters of recommendation from employers or from your church or someone of that nature that would be upon a favorable. Don’t overkill the paperwork you’re sending in unless it is required because that was also turned off. But you can bring that paperwork with you if you have extra or awards because depending on how the end of the process is going, that may help you as well. And all the years I’ve worked I had combined a binder of stuff like awards and keep only the current information towards the front of the binder to show somebody in case they had asked about it. Coming in organized, looking organized & looking professional set a good tone for your interview. Again This company could have 10 other applicants they are considering, but only you can be the one to change their mind if they were bringing you in only to interview you, but weren’t sure how you would fit in with the company. Your attitude, your appearance ,you maybe even ask a question not salary related right out the gate are things that an interviewer looks for to in the interview process. Look people interviewing you are not stupid. They realize you were there for a paycheck just like they are but that not expecting you to give your all while you’re there & if you were all over the page during the interview that may give them a red flag to say no we’re not hiring this person. Then even if you reapplied down the road, some companies a thing in place where they keep interview notes a person is hireable or not hireable and even interview.
Practice, practice, practice!
Accept as many interviews as you can and just keep doing them. Have important people in your life conduct mock interviews. Heck, have *un*important people in your life do them. The more you do it, the easier it gets.
You are in customer service, you can talk, just be yourself. Its just psychological. You can do it.
+1!
I have to agree with another poster who said people are focusing on the wrong part of your post.
It’s only natural to be a bit nervous about a pending interview or sitting in an interview in general. Especially if you know nothing about the person interviewing you. Some people are comfortable sitting down with strangers & trying to make polite conversation while answering questions about a job.
You need to learn techniques to get calm before you go to speak to someone in regards to a job. Maybe giving yourself a peptalk before you go inside, going over in your head what questions could be asked & how you would answer them. If sitting with someone makes you nervous, just think of them as an old friend & just let the conversation flow. But not taking in person interviews or phone interviews most likely will not get you the job even if you are capable.
The interview process as harsh as it may seem to you( others too) unfortunately is a necessary tool that is used to decide in that interview process if you have what it takes to work for that company.
If you’re in the Customer Service industry or anywhere or dealing with people one on one you have to be prepared to face some uncomfortable situations. If an interviewer feels you can’t get through an interview they my bypass you for someone else.
Go tackle the interviews & ask questions if it will help you relax. Do not go in seemingly distracted or like your in a hurry to go. Again calming yourself down before going in is a good approach. Again giving yourself a peptalk before you go in for the interview to reassure yourself over & over again that you got this. You will slay this interview & you will come out with a job. Remember not only the way you dress to an interview but your attitude & answers are what will stick out with the interviewer. In my company we have to do a follow up survey after we interview a candidate & it asks us all sorts of questions which help along with interview notes to get the person hired or not. Some of our follow up survey questions are stupid like for instance does a person have experience in this field that they applied for? Generally speaking except for kids who have had no prior job experience most people do have experience in that field. But again depending on any questions an interviewer may ask off script regarding your previous employment also weighs in.
Have more faith in yourself. You know you’re a good worker now you need to prove it to people who don’t know you. If you can get letters of recommendation that you can bring with you or send with your resume that may also help cut your interview time down. When I interview people if I already have a lot of information ahead of time, I don’t spend a half hour or more interviewing them because I have all my answers. I just wanna meet the person and see how they are have them answer a few questions and see if they have the right fit for us. Luckily, I’ve been doing this for years and pretty much have a good feel for whether a person is going to be a good fit not saying I’m right all the time, but I am a good portion of the time lol.
I wish you luck on your job search.
I want to thank you for this line: "I don't spend a half hour or more interviewing them because I have all my answers. I just wanna meet the person and see how they are." Most of the interviews I've had have been scheduled for one hour. So the shorter ones had me questioning "why," like if they already have a candidate in mind self-talk etc. But your explanation makes perfect sense. You've studied their application already so only need a half hour. This has been a big help, so thanks again!

Meaning that a job coach will practice mock interviewing with you. Good luck.
I successfully completed recent mathematics and English assessments; however, my interview, a collaborative effort between the NHS, JCP, and a local college, did not yield the desired outcome. This opportunity led me to forgo a part-time position and an adult education mathematics course. I have faced challenges in achieving my mathematics qualifications for a decade, and I viewed this as a crucial entry point and a chance to receive support for my mathematics proficiency and career advancement, which I had not experienced in the hospitality sector. I was informed that I could reapply, but I was also requested to retake the assessments despite having already passed them, a requirement I was told was standard procedure. Subsequent emails from both myself and JCP remained unanswered.

Ok I'll just on interview on Thursday.
Let me play devil's advocate: sure, the interview system is a shitshow: flawed, imperfect, and inherently inaccurate.
But interview skills are still social skills. If you can't talk at all to people about what you do, how would someone trust you in a position? Unless your job doesn't require virtually any social interaction.
