Can someone just run through some various types of risk assessments that we can do for gov clients? My manager wants me to get into risk assessment for growth and learning but I want to go into the meeting knowing some types of work that I’m interested in. For example my colleague said she did one for a funding program for a gov client. What else is there? I’m mainly compliance, I have no clue about this

Has anyone bought/ done the HRCI Certificate in Diversity and Inclusion in HR Management? I already have my PHR, but I’m looking to gain more knowledge/skills and beef up my resume. Is it worth doing? The course is $239 and you get 12 Recert credits with it.

Thoughts on Prosci or SHRM-SCP certification? Which would be considered more valuable or highly regarded? Currently focused on Change Management but have a HR background (industry experience / area of study in college).

Have the option to go the PWM route for good a group through connections, has anyone left consulting and went this route? I enjoy tracking markets but definitely understand it is a sales role which I find exciting but I would miss gaining good technical skills.

It may seem obvious, but in my experience partners value trial experience over anything else, so get it however you can. For example, my firm will favor a former prosecutor who has seen the courtroom a lot but has no civil litigation experience (not even a depo) over a seasoned associate who has only second chaired cases with a partner but hasn’t tried a case. Even trying a case and losing gives you credibility at my firm because you still did it.

I strongly believe new hire onboarding should not sit in the HR/People Operations space but should sit in the HR Coordinator/HR Generalist space. Booz Allen does not pay bonuses until you get to the Senior Associate level (1 step below Director) and I think that impacts employee performance and work ethic pretty dramatically.
