I had to leave my previous job and I’m currently job hunting, but I just found out on Monday that I’m 4 weeks pregnant. Has anyone started a new job while pregnant? I’m worried about starting a new role and having to take maternity leave so soon after.

Anyone ever have experience negotiating a new offer to include unvested 401k match and stock grants from your current employer? I hate leaving money on the table but there are some good roles out there. I’m not fully vested in my current 401k yet and my stock grants haven’t matured yet either. This would be at a global director level.

I've become really jaded about consulting. I find all so often you need to tell the client what they want to hear to keep their business and I feel like so much of the what I recommend doesn't actually get implemented. I'm looking to make a career switch so I can both create and execute on my strategies. A product management path seems very promising for this.

My sister might divorce with her husband, they have a baby of 1.5 year. We came from a divorce family and honestly never thought it would happen again - I feel powerless and I don’t know what to do. Ladies, I commend all of you who are pregnant and lawyering on the daily! I am 10 weeks pregnant and haven’t been working much since I left my firm in March. I tell my husband every day “IDK how anyone is pregnant and practicing law at the same time.” After a morning in court last month I was totally out of commission for the day. If you are still working as a lawyer full time and growing a human it is something to be proud of!
