Based on your comments I agree with the others here. You need a new line of work as the current path you’re on isn’t sustainable for you… and that’s perfectly fine.
There’s always a lot of undue pressure to feel like you HAVE to go into consulting, IB, and the like; especially on apps like this. Ultimately you are the one paying the price, it’s your life, your time, and your career. You may never find the thing that truly makes you happy work wise, but you might be able to find the thing that gives you balance to find your happy medium.
This is so spot-on it hurts. As someone who came from one of those those three paths I agree. For some it just ain’t it.
You can actually get accommodations from your company. You just need to speak with your manager about it so you can prepare the documents they need like a medical certificate that you are indeed diagnosed with PTSD. That's what I did when I was diagnosed with ADHD last year.
OP can you apply for FMLA in order to see a therapist, if that is an action that you’d like to take? Can you draw your hours down from full-time in order to have more time off? Can you work from home because the office is too stressful and you can easily take a break should you need it? All those may be options but you have to voice what your needs are first.

Are there any other vets in the company. I’ve found it’s pretty useful to just vent to a fellow vet on teams for 5-10 minutes
We've got a small group, which helps, but my project keeps bulldozing over my ability to attend. I guess I just know everyone is busy so this is my problem not to burden them during the workday... it's not personal time. Toxic point of view, I get it.
If work is this much of a trigger, maybe look at another employer.
What type of work are you in where 18 hours and weekends is common? IB? Consulting? Law?
Those types of hours, PTSD or not, aren’t sustainable.
M&A consulting. I haven't been at this job long enough to skip out but even so I've been struggling finding time to find a new job. My family rarely sees me as is.
I’m a vet and can say this is the best place I’ve ever worked. Consulting is toxic as it is, I suggest a new line of work
Without getting too specific, investigations!
Thanks for the responses team. I'm in a situation when I did well and now get tagged to everything. When they cut the budget I just got more work with less resources, we didn't cut the scope. So I spend any extra time trying to automate work which just resulted in me getting more work and now I own the underlying process for several threads.. and I'm the go to when it comes to solving even other team's problems. It's an unhealthy cycle.
I need to find something else, I agree. I haven't figured out what I should do or where I should go yet. I've got a broad skillset and I've only been here around 10 months, so I'm afraid to jump without proper due diligence.
Depends on context but if it's one person I'd suggest a later time and say sorry I have to... at that time, would this work? I usually take 1-2 hours on Sunday to work plan and reply to emails so could do the text and email within that window. I don't have kids so 630 I would take if it was important, but wouldn't make a habit of it
I got a reasonable accommodation under the ADA to telework 100%.
18 hour days? Ahaha just quit man, F that
All I can say is, you’re not alone. I’m currently experiencing the same.
