I've been requested an expected salary range by a recruiter for a position in what I think is a lower cost of living area than the one I'm currently residing. How do you answer such a question?

I understand they are different but in my job today, I handle both roles so can go in either direction.

Earlier I was interested to move somewhere in Europe but with the whole Russia and Ukraine situation and now possibility of Sweden and Finland joining NATO and Russia telling them not to, I don't think Europe might be a good option in the coming years.

Anyone on the distribution side of private funds ? Currently at a liquid alternative 40act fund and working on my CAIA. I was wondering how difficult the jump is to the other side. Any context would be helpful!

What’s buy-side comp like in Toronto/Canada?

Am I under shooting on comp expectations? I’ve been at my company, a large diversified asset manager for a bit over 4 years (1.5 as an associate). I make ~$200k ($150k salary + $50k bonus), which I was told is the top end of market comp for my role. However, I recently saw a posting for an associate level (3-5 years exp) corp strategy role (similar duties) at a PE firm with a comp range of 250-400k. Does this seem crazy high or am I seriously undershooting on my expectations?

Is the CAIA content worthwhile? Anyone take it and have any insights to offer on. Is the content provided in the education applicable info to their employment?

Have full time post under grad offers from a bank(sponsor finance group, credit analyst), and a consulting company for risk and compliance consulting. Not sure which one to go with. Ive been a real estate PE analyst for 2 yrs at a ~new PE shop (although we have $2+ billion in assets under property management) and I wear every hat for the PE division. I do all acquisition underwriting, market data collection & analysis, investor pitching, investor relations, asset management, financial & video reporting (filming + editing videos), etc. I report direct to the Pres/CEO. I am currently underpaid at just $70k.

With my next contract, what salary and title should I strive for?

Was wondering if anyone could shed some light into this. Currently an execution trader at a decent size firm (around 14 b aum) mostly focused in fixed in fixed income however I do trade all asset classes including structured products. Taking a look at alternatives or structured products sales (internal or institutional) and also I've heard investor relations at HFs or PE might be a good fit. Don't want to go the route of financial advisor. Located in south Florida. Thks!
