Can the mods pin a warning about all of these WFH scams flooding this bowl? No one is offering you $50 an hour to do work a cheap AI could do. This is doubly true if it’s remote, requires no experience, is 100% flexible, and doesn’t match job postings from the companies they claim to represent.

It’s SO bad lately. I keep reporting them, but it doesn’t appear to do anything.

$50 an hr is not much … its easily double that and change is you market correctly

Of course people can be trained to earn $50+ per hour without prior experience, nobody is questioning that. But that's not what we're talking about. We're talking about $50/hr "no skills required" WFH job postings on Glassdoor. That's not happening, at least not legit jobs anyway. We're talking about apples and you're arguing oranges. No go ahead and prove me wrong by finding a legit job posting that pays $50/hr to work from home where no skills or experience is required. Because if that existed everyone would be doing it.

I’m currently a quality control analyst in the biopharma/gene therapy field making 72k base in the Houston area. I’ve been working here for 2 years and my company is well established and the job is easy, but I honestly just want higher pay. Career advice?

I'm a relatively junior data engineer (2yoe), the only other engineer (senior) that trained me left about a 6 months ago and I negotiated a nice raise for the extra responsibilities.

My performance reviews have been stellar, but my manager is starting to look to hire a senior to help me deliver projects as we do lack capacity right now.

I feel like I might be missing an opportunity to ask for a promotion and hire a junior instead.

Any opinions/tips?

Considering a Product Owner role. Any best practices of what questions to ask during an interview? First phase deals with a virtual Teams interview with the recruiter and her manager on Tuesday. Excited since this is a hop from a Product Analyst role and entails an offer of over $30,000 from what I'm getting now! This would be a permanent full-time compared to my current contractor role that ends in March.
