Can you legally be fired if you declined to work overtime during busy season and just put in your 40 hours?

If you got fired tomorrow, how long can you go without a paycheck? Assume you get 1 week of pay for every 6 months worked, and then can do unemployment after that ($425 a week)

Curious questions! What are the things offered by companies after laying off their employees? Do they pay 3 months severance? Or not?

About last layoffs, we didn't do any layoffs it's cost adjustments mostly in operation centers and restructure due new growth model. 🤷‍♂️

HNY all! I have multiple rollover and traditional IRAs, as well as a solo 401k. But (since I started paying attention to this kind of thing) have always been over the income limit to start a Roth IRA. My annual perf discussion is monday morning. I work on a tough team for a tough place. I think Im a pretty good/almost high performer but only around 3 years and my boss seems to still act like I’m brand new (lifer boomer). I try to tell myself he has 6 direct reports and has to do this with everyone, Im no more or no less special - but I hate these convos and negative feedback even when most of it is unsurprising/fair feedback.
