Too broad of questions, OP! Audit life - you don’t have much of a work life balance. Advisory is more flexible. The environment is very political and demanding, and you have to be savvy and build your own kind of empire for yourself. Work can be very fast paced and challenging, and you have to voice what you want to get what you want. Great pay, great benefits. Great place to build a career, I believe most would say.

I'm not sure I understand your question. Although I'm aware of Medicare/Medicaid fraud of approximately $80 Billion a year; I haven't had the privilege of working with a team to uncover fraudulent practitioners. How about yourself - are you on a welfare fraud team?

If you’re doing exclusively audit, I am not sure a CFE would add much to your credentials. Are you planning on getting into Forensic Accounting?

Deloitte consulting is ranked #1. What do you want to know about big 4? Have you thought about industry?

I haven't thought about industry yet. What is the corporate ethos, work-life balance, and "typical work day" in the life at the Big4?

Hello,
Would you consider a material that arrived from supplier mislabeled or wrong spelling a nonconformance? In my previous job it would be considered as a no conformance but at my current job not.
This labeling is for simple items, not aerospace or medical stuff.
Thank you.

I was interviewed for a major tech player in the hospitality industry, had 2 interviews which for the first one the recruiter was late, and didn't confirm the interview while I emaild her to make sure I do have an interview. When she attended she said that there was no point of responding my email as we are meeting anyway. Later on I had 2nd interview with the hiring manager. After 45 minutes she said they will let me know...

2 months later and I am still waiting...

I’ve been thinking of making a switch from audit to TAS. I’m currently a S1 (2 busy seasons experience), and rated as a top performer at my firm. I’m contacted by Kroll, but recruiters there told me that since I haven’t got any TAS experience, I should be applying for their Analyst role instead of Senior Associate. Honestly, I want to switch to TAS but not that desperate to leave my firm. Anyway, I just wonder if you guys have the same situation and usually how long it takes to get promoted?

My choices are the following 1) become the lead senior in my public client and stay in assurance 2)FSO 3) Advisory?

Anyone else here actually find auditing enjoyable? Yes, the hours are insane. WLB hasn't been good for me. But I feel like I'm always learning new things on the job even after 6 years. I would think going into industry would pigeonhole me and be kind of boring. I think that's why I'm still in public accounting besides dreams of making partner.
