Hi Fellow fishes, I had an hr discussion with amdocs and during salary negotiation they told we can't give more than 11 lpa, they told it's the last offer and didn't negotiate at all. You are well paid btw.Remember the trends in market last year gave some really good salaries but that's not expected to continue and 70-80L being a Developer ,You will have to continuously prove that are your worthy and you will be always under undue pressure.
Devops isn't a crowded market unlike the usual development and the range totally depends on the organisation.Unlike in the service industry,in the product/captive industry software engineers are equally paid irrespective Dev/Support/Dev ops i believe.To Answer your questions for your current experience and market you can expect 40,L. if you are really eyeing those brackets you can check turing jobs which will help you find jobs from US/Europe and work as remote
When recession hits with full force these 70-80 LPA would be the first to be sacked. So be happy with what u r getting. You are far better than most IT people.
SA i want you to know that 70-80 lpa for 7-8 years experience are for top 1% creamy layer as far as technology roles goes but due to current hiring spree/madness from all India based firms that % has risen rather drastically . This is as good as it gets but sadly and i hate to be bearer of bad news USA and canada's fed are already preparing for recession starting 2023 Jan(this is no anticipation, they already know it's happening , Indian Bank will revise loan % for the forth time this year soon) . Accenture this time has PIP as a mandate from leadership and many folks are bench who will be relieved soon due to aggressive hiring , other organisations will follow the suite .
Piece of advice : If you are drawing 5-8 times your yoe and unable to either justify your worth in lob or continuously improve , sooner or later you will face the music . I am not hating on big paychecks for maang or big 4 or big 3 but as someone rightly coined "with great packages comes greater risk of layoff" (put my spin on Spidey's dialogue) but than again if ur worth the money always folks and orgs will take you no matter the CTC so keep fighting and stay relevant.

Definitely you can make it in devops. The roles are limited though unlike dev. Try for remote opportunities from Europe, US companies, they can pay you that much. A senior of mine is into devops and infra and he recently joined a US based startup from Goldman sach and is now making 1cr when compared to 60 lpa in GC
