Can someone please explain the process of selling a home when you have an Islamic loan? Since it’s profit sharing i don’t fully own the home right? So if i sell it i can’t take full profits since i don’t own it outright. I’m considering Islamic financing but have so many questions about it. Can you take an equity line? Anyone have situational depression? Can’t stop beating myself up over a decision a year ago. Basically missed out on a massive amount of money. I know this seems trite and i never even cared thatt much about money before this year.

So many other good things happened to me this year - got married, got a puppy, moved etc, and yet the one thing i keep returning to is this decision as though i ruined my life. Ironically the only thing ruining my life is my outlook and yet i just can’t stop.

I’m seeing lots of posts about really bad losses. If you trade you’re going to lose money - hopefully not all the time, but many positions will be mistakes. But you need a process to find ideas and manage positions. Two books you should read are “The New Trading for a Livinng” and “The Laws of Trading.” Both look at psychology, process, and risk in different ways that can help you work out your own process. The next 18 months will be much harder than the last 18 - time to start learning.

Stern is way more than a finance school. Given its location, do you want to spend your 2 years in a rural area or heart of Manhattan? Location is almost everything for business school. (I have a friend in Cornell that frequently travels about 5 hours to NYC for events.)
