The drop for a hard pull is gone by 3 months and is only around 5 points anyway so that's probably not an issue. Sapphire reserve - really hard to say since I'd always feel like another 100k promotion is around the corner. Check r/churning they are the experts.
In that case I'd probably get the ink preferred instead of sapphire. It's the business card version of the reserve and still has an 80k bonus. I hope you mean you want to earn points on your new card by paying bills, and not that you plan on carrying the balance of those bills on your card.
I see, will look into it, thanks! Yup, paying bills.
No but it is fraud if you use your firm name or a fake firm name. Using your own name as a sole proprietorship is completely legit - even if the business is only contemplated. They will check your personal credit history instead of auditing company financials which is what they would do for an llc, c Corp etc.
EY1- Wanna pay some huge bills soon, hence tempted to get a new card. Not sure if I can wait for the 100K promotion. Have the Amex SPG personal card at the moment, debating b/w getting a new card for some travel benefits and just using my spg card and rack those points!
EY1- were you suggesting the ink card because its annual fee is much cheaper and still has ~$1,000 towards travel credit? Wondering why wouldn't folks get this instead of the reserve? This looks great!
And any chances of rejection because it's a "business" card?
OP you’re a sole proprietorship. Boom. Golden.
Lol A1 that's what I thought-- most likely ink reserve can only be obtained by businesses I guess!?
OP, I have friends that have opened business cards that way. Can’t speak to it myself but they swear by it. I guess t gives you that as a option to pick SP when opening.
that's what I was thinking of selecting :p not sure if I can mention my firm's (that I work for lol) name.
You say you're a sole proprietorship considering selling on eBay or etsy etc. It's no big deal they don't care. Yeah it's great. The downsides are restaurants isn't a category, but you get phone & internet in exchange. And the card isn't metal.
Oh don't use firm name you have to use your own name for sole proprietorship
Sounds great, but sort of like a fraud too :p did you mention ABC Inc. or something? Lol
Makes sense- thanks!
Seriously, just google “the points guys business credit cards”
