Hey fishes. I have been offered Management Consultant role with CTC break up in terms of JB, RB, fixed and variable. So is the fixed amount my gross salary without any other deduction except TDS, or will the organisation contribution to PF be also deducted from the fixed component? Also, will claimable components like LTA, mobile bill reimbursement etc. be in addition to this fixed component or will they be included in it?

Which field of science do you think is underfunded, and why?

Can anyone give me their honest opinion on working at Eli Lilly, the Indy site? I have a few coworkers that have worked there in the past but no one recently. I’m currently being recruited pretty seriously for a in-vivo technician position in the auto-immune team, but I already have a job lined up at Envigo as a small animal sx tech. Salaries would be comparable (Lilly would most likely be a little more with bonuses), but if the culture sucks, I’d hate to burn a bridge with Envigo.

Hey all, having issues with interviewing this year. I’ve been passed over every opportunity I really want and I’m unsure how to regroup and move forward. I’m really trying to break into method development roles and I haven’t had the opportunity to do so with my analytical experience. A lot of my HPLC and LCMS experience is with already established methods. Any tips?

Need help settling a debate with my friend. She thinks I will have an easier time getting research grants because I'm male. I think it's the opposite because companies are trying to change the status quo and get more women involved (which I'm not complaining about... please don't attack me.) Which one of us is more right than the other? I'm interested in getting as many viewpoints as possible, whether or not they agree with me or with her. Thanks!!!
