Companion pass is best airline perk if you have SO or travel partner
If you end up with biz select or anytime fares, adds up quickly. Also get SW cc. 60k pts right now. You'll knock it out quickly. Although it may make sense for waiting till January to get it CP. So you earn it in early '18, get it for all if '18 and '19
@D2, I have a SW credit card and have used most of the points I received , but, that was all on personal travel. I'm thinking getting a new SW credit card closer to the end of year would help in getting points towards 110k and CP, am I right?
suggestions? Any other SWA loyalists here that can suggest if sticking with SWA is worth it?
If rewards are your objective, then definitely not Delta (especially at a non hub).
Delta
SWA is amazing. Delta out of Chicago is not a viable option. Only alternatives are AA and UA which both suck. Sometimes have to fly then if SWA doesn't fly there (most small cities)
@D2 - companion pass is something I'm after too. But 110k points seems like an awful lot to get , right? How did you do it?
Yeah. Get it November/December, hit min spend in January. Then you'll rack it up in no time
Op if you have an SO SWA cannot be beat for value. I got both CC and earned the pass pretty quickly. Delta is only good in Chicago if you're going to NYC very consistently
Thanks @p1, Which are the two CC you got?
Can't agree more. Swa companion pass is unbeatable . I think the value of points is good too, you earn about 1.5 -2k per week. They have flights worth 3-4 k points on many days , I think the value is much better than united and aa, of course, giving up on biz class
Op - look for premier and plus cards , and search for offers , they don't advertise everything on their site
Better point deals sometimes if you apply in-flight too - I saw a 60k offer. Check the points guy.
