EY 🐠Do you guys initiate a H1b amendment assessment when you go to a client in the same city for a few days? I have a short project coming up where I will prolly need to be at the client office, just.
Anyone take a comp cut to join a Series A funded start up? (Smaller salary, higher bonus and equity) Or is that just a stupid move? Would transition into sales/marketing role. 3 YOE, UG, on track for SC at end of year
Need advice on the transition to FDD one day. Will be promoted to senior in 2 weeks (in risk advisory and have CPA). I already feel a huge disadvantage trying to go Risk > FDD (as opposed to typical Audit > FDD). Should I stick it out in risk until deals start hiring again? I think there's some value in being a Big 4 CPA compared to an industry senior analyst. But the work in risk doesn't help me develop towards FDD at all... transfer got delayed 3 times until covid, so I'm down to switch firms
Turned down offer for S3 position at mid tier firm that was 20% more in base salary. Should I call them back?
As far as exit opportunities, is there really that big of a salary change from 1 year of senior exp to 2 years?
Received an offer for BCG’s Knowledge Team, and understand the largely non-client facing nature of the work. Can others chime in on the upsides of the role / growth trajectory ?

How is the Chicago office in terms of culture, work/life balance, pay, and client roster? Currently at a competitor and looking around. Thanks!
Recruiter said in re: to Supply Chain Manager role that the company could do lower six figures. Have to imagine that she really means low 100s, right? 250k is still lower six figures.

Has anyone interviewed with Delivery Hero in Germany? Specifically a role in the global management vertical
So many burned out colleagues I've met over the years are planning an industry exit strategy, either soon or down the line. Are you thinking of leaving the biz, for what, and why?
What is your target salary to feel that you’ve made it? I see a lot of comparing jobs by salary (obviously compensation matters in terms of feeling valued) but even in my first role I feel financially stable enough to not really need to make decisions anymore regarding money and can focus on enrichment/happiness as a bigger part of my equation than comp

Got served an ad for my dream job brand side. Salary is way more and reviews are fantastic. Not actively looking. Love my agency and flexibility. It would seriously disrupt the office to leave. Apply?
Some of these posts are ridiculous. They’re like just exited consulting to FAANG/Niche Startup with $150k base and $400k TC with 6 months of experience, you can do it too! Then they ghost or explain that they are a former SWE 😬 coming from MBB. Going to some super Niche role that people with crazy backgrounds are recruited for. Congrats, but not everyone has that background

Anyone rethinking where they might live? I’m in Chicago burbs now, with easy access to the city but would love to move further out if virtual or less travel is going to be the future of our business. Anyone else doing the pro/con list?
There is a lot of confusion regarding the new executive order for nonimmigration visa signed by orange man yesterday. This is an interpretation by immigration lawyers: By the terms of the order, it applies to individuals who are outside the U.S. without currently valid visas who are seeking to enter the U.S. The order does not appear limit processing of petitions filed with USCIS from within the U.S.
