Company share price is plummeting. What my job once was, was needed in a time of rapid growth. Growth that never happened. Price went from $64/share when I started, down to $13/share. NOT GOOD. I've got my family depending on my income. This rapid decline in growth has just me stressed like you wouldn't believe. Layoffs coming for sure. Any referral would be appreciated! THANK YOU!

We’re both 36 and currently rent a 2 bedroom in NY and have a combined savings of $35,000 which she wants to use as a down payment on a condo. I kinda just wanna continue saving while renting. If you were me and your goal was to maximize your net worth by retirement, would you put a few thousand dollars extra into paying down the house faster or invest that extra money in the market? Capital gains tax rate - I know there are diff rates (0/15/20) depending on income threshold but is the threshold based solely on “earned income” (i.e., wage)? I have been laid off going on 3 months now and I’ve never felt so discouraged in my life. This job hunt for me has been frustrating and draining. It really has taken a toll on my mental health and maybe even confidence. I feel like I’m losing momentum. Any advice on staying positive throughout this journey?
