Completed final round interview with Managing Director last Friday for a consultant position at Deloitte. Interview went very well but I have received no feedback since. Recruiter isn’t responding to my follow up emails either. Is this a bad sign? Any advice?

I have been in an awkward reporting structure for 2.5 years. On record I’ve reported to the VP of Marketing, who was crazy toxic, and technologically inept. I’m a senior website manage and she had no interest in my role. She shirked me off to also report to her two directors, PR and Call Center. Needless to say, that’s been a difficult situation for me. She’s gone and the new VP starts tomorrow. Any guidance on how to ensure this ends with the incumbent VP?

At my interview I was told that to them the title was interchangeable & I would be doing Paralegal work, especially considering that I knew how to do the heavy Paralegal work. But it’s been 6 months of tedious admin work & when I point out mistakes on pleadings, question case strategy or discovery methods, & suggest more effective ways to get things done, I get these weird looks or the brush off. One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.
