Is it worth it to pursue infrastructure/network administration esque jobs while in college? I am getting stressed seeing not many job openings in my area and the pay is very low compared to programming jobs. As much as I enjoy this side, I’m not sure if it’ll be worth it in the long run. I had 4-5 rounds of interview in Amazon in last 1.5 months, including bar raiser. I got a mail stating I am selected for position within 4 hours of my bar raiser round.
HR asked for a few documents like last 3 months payslips, ECTC etc. It's been 4 working days and that HR is not replying on my mail. It is fine or something is off track ? Any suggestions ?
Does they usually turn back after sending selection mail and asking for documents

I start my new job, tomorrow, as the “Client Relationship Leader” of a very large design fabrication company. I will have to abandon my Mac/Adobe creative suite upbringing and learn the PC platform for Corel (🤮), sketchup and some other 3D software. Normally and historically, this would be a deal breaker- as these programs run fine on a Mac- has anyone had to switch and how what we’re the biggest hurdles? I get on a PC and get so frustrated not being able to do what I want to do.

How different is litigating in-house vs. in private practice? I’m tired of litigating in private practice and am contemplating a move to an in-house litigation role with a public university—but the pay will definitely be less, so I don’t want to make the switch if it is going to just be the same hamster wheel. Any one made the jump and have thoughts/advice?

What are some high paying career paths that an auditor can pursue? Slaved for 3 years and not even 4k, while every single one of my peers in IT are at minimum 5k with good wlb...... accountants dont seem to get paid remotely well here

I’m in kind of a weird scenario. Graduated BioMed, started out working in-lab doing QC. But I learned some data analysis tools (SQL, Python, Apps Scripts, Alteryx), connected with a data engineer at the company, and now I report to him doing dashboarding, data pipeline automation, and ad hoc reporting. But my title/salary haven’t changed (been 6mo), and I know it’s below CA analyst avg. Want to change companies but it’s hard when I don’t even know my title/what position to look for. Advice?

I have made contributions to nondeductible ira and then converted to roth ira (backdoor). the form 8606 asks these questions, but the questionnaire doesnt ask about whether I have converted. does anyone have experience with form 8606? which tax return software does this properly?

Can I sign 1096 for my client? Any means to work around the pre-print red form, like Docusign etc? Client is out of country, we are mailing the completed 1096/1099 to client for signature, and she sends it back to our office, then we paperfile the package. Too much trouble for such a simple form.
