Hi Fishes,
I am at a career standpoint where i am really confused what to do.
I have 4+ yoe in RPA .I really dont think its sustainable as a career .I am willing to learn and move into something different.
But what i am really confused is how would i manage to switch jobs without any prior experience?
I already earn 13-15 lpa,why would anyone offer me same level of package without experience?
People who do a successful career switch, please share your stories. In need of some motivation
Bain & Company Moving to strategy consulting!
Looking for recommendations for how I can transition back to consulting and mainly MBB.
Background:
10 yoe with healthcare consulting with Strategy& in APAC, Middle East and Australia on varied health insurance consultations working as a director leading data science teams.
Feel like I am losing my MC mojo and want to get some years of experience in MBB McKinsey & Company, Bain & Company, Boston Consulting Group
Is there a way without cutting back on pay?

I have spent some time researching this same exact path and am still targeting a start date of fall 2022. Curious to see where your search lands you. Feel free to DM me.
Still my goal but I haven’t made any active steps. I’m a bit scared of making the leap.
This is helpful thank you all for your comments. Those of you that are further along in the process -- what do you make of the statistics regarding average pay for MSW / MA in counseling? Also, despite the title it seems that the MSW is the broadest program in terms of future employment (e.g. was surprised to find out that my therapist (that charges $300 an hour!) graduated with an MSW. Is that what you're finding as well. Basically this idea excites me but I am terrified of spending more $$ and time and ending up at a dead end. (I'm closing in on 9 years as a litigator, currently earning around 200k, firm is not too bad in terms of hours, etc BUT I'm completely burnt out, hate every minute, and think about quitting ( or worse) all the time)
Spouse is an MSW/LCSW. Happy to put you in contact (especially if you’re in Illinois, where she can speak more to licensure and schools).
Some people have made this exit. I recall Herbert Smith’s head of recruiting went to NYU Law, practiced cap markets for a decade at that firm, did law recruiting for a while and now does counseling after getting a psychology degree. Don’t want to post his name but you can look him up. It seems very useful to combine law with counseling in terms of providing practical advice re family issues
I’m going to be doing the same thing! But I won’t be working while I go to school. But it seems like there are a lot of programs with evening classes or online options
I went on the accreditation page and would look at all accredited programs. for the LPCC path it’s CACREP, for PhD it’s the APA and LCSW is CSWE. Any schools I was interested in I would check the prereqs (some require a psych bachelors degree) and cost first 😂 .
I did a joint JD/MSW program. MSW is way different type of thinking and writing, with less focus on academics & more on practical experience. Not sure what your end game is, but if you're looking to be in a social work type job, the fact that you have a JD will likely be more influential than what school you go to for you MSW. Full disclosure, I am in private practice at AM200 & use my social work skills everyday, but am not a licensed social worker.
Hi! I’m interested in doing the same thing. Just started looking into this and was wonder how your search is coming along?
