If any one of us fucked up at client site in literally the most public way possible, we would 100% get rolled off the client. We would 100% receive a terrible rating, this would 90-95% result in us having to either leave the firm or be hit so hard that it would take years to come back. These partners are the people that give us these ratings and often do not let go of those ratings and bring them up in round tables for years so they don't have to pay us more or promote us.
how you f- up an 83 years old client relationship? that was guaranteed book of business. this is what happens when you are ungrateful. privilege at its finest hour.
Love the journalism here. Partners from a professional services firm "thrown to the wolves" "pencil pushers". These two own the business and are each worth millions. I'd take their buyouts in a second. Stupid and embarrassing mistake (they should have immediately resigned) but geez
I read an article where they were referred to as "bumbling bean counters". That annoyed me, especially since the article's author is a gossip columnist.
The 2 Partners not allowed back and rethinking the relationship with PwC as a whole.
I will keep those 2 in my prayers. Every one makes mistakes. It just sucks to see them made at such a big event.
Pray for them? What P1?!
Right now, just the partners will not be returning...we still have the account
Looks like PWCs prestige ranking will be down this year
Lol @ pray for them. I echo P3, the general public has no idea how the inner workings work. They really think these 2 have pencils to push and not thousands of minions clamoring for the opp to push those pencils. Professionally embarrassing for them for such a simple mistake but perception is 9/10s of the law in consulting and they are rightfully to blame.
I feel like pwc probably has a crap margin with academy as a client. 2 partners, high visibility not guessing it's a money maker because other would undercut for the prestige. That said all those things would be conducive to making sure you don't fuck up and well....
This article is clickbait. Is anyone surprised that those 2 jokers can't work a future Oscars? NO. But there's no mention of PWC as a company being fired from the Oscars (the relationship is surely being re-evaluated) OR these losers being fired from PWC for being more interested in photo ops and tweeting than doing their jobs. Wake me up when either of those stories comes out...
TBD on PwC altogether

Does that mean PwC is done away with all together or that the 2 partners will not be allowed to do it again
P dubs still has the Oscars account....for now. that is also under review.
Well I'll give them a referral!
Brian cullinan was given the account due to hisgood looks and being a Matt Damon doppelganger
P3, yea probably so. But you're missing the point. Money can't buy the kind of publicity that PwC gets from that account. And now that's tainted, with a real possibility of your firm losing the account.
